IN MEMORY OF KENNY ‘FAGS’ MACDONALD
WHO DIED ON THE 8 th April 2007

Kenny has been a kind and generous supporter of Chernobyl Children Life Line and its children since our first visit to the Western Isles in 1999. Ceilidh’s, organised for the children every year since, by the Freemasons of Lodge Fortrose, have always been a highlight and Kenny, a brilliant musician, would delight them with his music and song. Always a favourite with the children and adults alike was ‘I’m the King of the Swingers’.

At Kenny’s funeral a collection raised the grand sum of £1,300, which Kenny’s daughter Karen very generously donated to our charity. Strangely, only two weeks before Kenny died we were trying to figure out how to raise a £1,300 shortfall to cover airfares and nobody in Stornoway knew this. It appears Kenny’s dedication to Chernobyl children goes beyond the grave.

Kenny, you really were the ‘King of the Swingers’ and certainly a ‘VIP.’ We will all miss you.
